I haven't written in my livejournal in..... forever!
I'm not even really sure why I feel compelled to today..I'm just sitting home alone waiting for Dan to get home and the people to start gathering before we go do Fourth of July-type things!
I was thinking about how it used to be so common and second nature to just sign on aim and pass the time by talking to buddies for hours. My buddy list (when I'm on it) looks pretty small, short and lonely nowadays. Isn't that weird?! Not really I know.
So what else....
I miss you guys. I hope you are all doing well. I wish we got to get together more :/ But trust me, I try when I can. I love seeing you!!
Life is pretty much normal right now. In many ways, I'm so happy. In other ways, I'm still trying to figure out the best way to get exactly where I'd like to be. All in all, I'm in a good place. In case you had any interest :P
My parents are doing so well in B*port. They're so happy! Joe is making progress in so many ways too.
Hmf, it feels kinda good to just throw things out there just because.

ok i THINK i figured this out so that only the girls can read this (thaine, mari, stace, natasha)... i'm like so lj illiterate its embarrassing.
Anywho, i'm trying to throw a surprise bday party for dan on saturday nov. 15. it'd be really sweet to see you guys bc a) we never see each other anymore and b) i want the turnout to be fairly decent for him.
originally i had this plan that i was going to ask a friend to get him out of the apt for a while--decorate/set up, etc and then have everyone arrive and be like SURPRISE when he gets home... then just hang out/pregame for a while at the apt and then go out in downtown syracuse (because duh it's his birthday he wants to go out).
it's just becoming more complicated because he's saying (obviously not knowing i'm trying to plan this whole shindig) that'd he'd rather just go out in oswego so that i dont' have to DD and no one has to worry about driving, etc.
However, i absolutely do not expect you guys to come out from roch and have to find somewhere to sleep in some dorm room of someone you don't hardly know.
there's like 5ish people i think though that i'd like to come who are from oswego so i mean i dunno what to do.
i suppose my best bet right now is to just try and convince him that i don't mind driving and we should just go out in downtown? i mean i feel bad for natasha and like the guys who will have to come out from oswego (you're MORE than welcome to crash in the apt somewhere--anywhere your body will fit--sleeping bags are reccommended lol), but it's a farther trip out from roch so you guys shouldn't be shafted with like having to sleep in some weird place.
also, all your bfs are more than welcome too it's just a matter of having comfortable sleeping space. it's up to you guys.
i'm definitely DDing if we go out in cuse, if my other friend comes who doesn't drink she MIGHT be able to but she doesn't have a car so i dunno if that will happen. any volunteers will be appreciated but please dont' feel like you have to i'll figure it out.
i guess i just need some feedback/ideas here....syracuse or oswego? pros and cons? help a sister out!!!
just in case you're curious, right now the people i'm trying to get to come are yooooou all, bfs if you feel like it ;), sam and matt (i think you guys know them vaguely), marin, montgomery (my old suitemates), kati, ed, bobby (dan's friends), and maybe some people from work.

someone from my school died of bacterial meningitis this morning.
he went to the health center yesterday w/ flu like symptoms. he was in bad condition and taken to the syracuse hospital. they then flew his mom in because his condition was progressing so rapidly. by a certain point he was getting no blood circulation to his hands or feet. he passed away at 9am this morning. less than 24 hours from when he first felt sick.
i am in a news production class and we were assigned to cover this story. it was the saddest atmosphere.
his name was craig and he was in a fraternity. all of his brothers, sorority sisters, roommates and anyone who had been in close contact with him over the past ten days was ordered to go to the health center to be checked and inocculated for the disease.
people everywhere crying, hugging and mourning.
he was eighteen.
may he rest in peace.
there is a significant risk to anyone who shared beer pong cups, pipes, cigs, kisses or anything with him. and although slim and rare, a risk is posed to the entire student body. the president of our university issued a health alert that was sent to each student's cell phone follwed by emails with more information and extended hours at the health center.
just thought this was an intersting bit of info to share.

Heyyy guys.
well since i just spent some time posting replies i thought i'd post and entry of my own, its been a while!
and also, i brought some work to the library but i forgot like the most important part so i can't do any of it. HAHAHA ohhhh arnooo :[
anywho, life is busy busy busy as usual.
we went to a halloween party this past friday, the pictures are in my info if you guys get a chance to look, it was a lot of fun. i was alice in wonderland :) good times.
i am working a lot!!! its freakin' rad because then i get more money :P but then it sucks bc sometimes (more than i'd hoped) i have to miss dance, and that's bad. and i haven't made it to a single honor society meeting YET bc of work. and a hockey game or two, aaand some parties. but HEY, who needs a life? i'm working on itttt lol
dance is going well but FAST. our recital is pretty early this year so we gotta hustle our buns to learn these dances. i'm "only" doing five this year (a significant drop from my record of NINE last semester) (in which i almost died) but it is lots of fun. it is my number one stress reliever and if i didn't have it i would be in a lot worse condition than i am.
i'm kinda sick dude. wtf. like, the doc said she thought i might be getting pnemonia..(is there a 'u' in that somewhere?!). so that's not even cool, who the hell has time to have pnemonia?! i just have a nasty cough/chest pain, occassional throbbing i-want-to-die headache and mild tummy-ache from swallowing all the shit i cough up. (ew)
everything in the house is going pretty well. we hardly ever see each other during the week!! its crazy. ruby (our kitty) has worms so that's sad, she has a vet appt next week hopefully she gets all fixed up. but she's adorable.
still anchoring the news on wednesdays :) we get to wear our costumes on air tomorrow!!! hehe that will be fun. our teleprompter (along with many other miscellaneous equipment) doesn't work so its not the best looking newscast ever, but hey... there's no point in getting stressed about it. it doesn't make me happy but i can't let it piss me off. nothing anyone can do at this point.
hmmm what else. oh yeah the boys' birthday is in like 2 weeks!!! (dan & matts birthdays are on the same day) (they're my housemates if you don't remember) (and dan is my bf and matt is sam's bf--and sam is my housemate too) GOT THAT?! haha. but yeah, unfortunately i will be missing out on a third eye blind concert .. very sad. but i think we're getting a room at turningstone for the night and we're doing a tour of the saranac brewery and such. it will be fun, i know it will.
i suck at gift giving but i've been trying to pay attention to little things so hopefully he enjoys them. plus we did this cool thing where we ordered a 12 pack of beer with their faces on the label and it says happy 21st and the date and stuff. its pretty sweetass sweet.
ummm i miss you guys. :\ i'll be home for T-day in like a couple weeks or something. so we best make the most of that. :)
i guess that's all i have to ramble about for now.
on a semi-serious note, just for the sake of getting it out in some way shape or form--there is something particularly worrisome (sp?) bothering me. i have been trying to be patient but i just don't understand and the more i think about it the more scared i get myself. just please cross your fingers that everything is fine and i'm just being a girllll!!

i'm at work. blahhhh
10 minutes til i get to home and either drink beer or pass out. i haven't decided which is more conducive to my mood yet.
KNOCK ON WOOD--now that things are back adjusted for school-time i am feeling as if life is very good right now. i miss summer still sometimes but considering its not coming back, i have to say that i can't complain otherwise.
the house is great. the housemates are better. the weather is random. the classes are hard. i am so busy. but i have a new job that's great. and my bf is pretty rad too. and the friends are fab. and the keeping in touch is so far so good.
can't complain about that.

funnnn stuff this weekend.
blurt led to some disturbingly good times. i mean seriously, we had way too much playing that game. considering stacey thinks ornamental means japanese and my definition for "a very small wave" is moving only my fingers. HAHAHAHA
i am very proud of zachary and a few other graduates.
.. and its also weird.
i know a lot more fun stuff happened this weekend but i am seriously too tired to think right now. i get to catch up on that tonight/tomorrow though :)
but i also have to be productive!! eek.
ps. i had the bestest day at my internship friday... i LOVE it :D

to open, i just wanna throw out there that I AM GOING TO SEE THIRD EYE BLIND THIS FRIDAY
now, i know many of you may be jealous, but i would like to take you back to a time. this time is senior year. and stacey and mari and maybe even c went to go see third eye blind, and i, i couldn't go. why? well because my mother made me go to an open house at SUNY fredonia. this concert will come close to healing those scars.
it is also on my list of things to do i die, so i am very excited.
in other news, you are reading the livejournal of the proud owner of a standard-shift car. i am learning slowly but surely. i loooooves it so much. its a sexXy car. you will all see it in the summer. i promise.
school is going ok but very stressful. almost at the end. a bajillion dance practices, a bajillion dollars to spend on everything and a bajillion papers/presentations to finish. but hey, life goes on.
i am officially interning at WHAM. (i'm not sure if i already said that). that's so kickass.

i have seriously been in a glass case of emotion lately. especially today. its so laaameee.
i got my internship for this summer!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D i'm pumped!
break was good minus the deathly ill part.
i come home again in like a week. pretty crazy.

k i need like one little serious part:
i am still kinda sick :( so i have been feeling like shit in the morning/night. but i am so busy and any free time i have i end up sleeping. it sucks. but anyways. i woke up this morning and i was SO tired bc i slept like shit, i couldn't sleep at all. and i have class at 8am. so i made an executive decision around 730 that i wasn't going. i felt like crap and i was so tired and blah blah. they're not good excuses but i had one unexcused absence left. but THEN, i couldn't sleep so i woke up and got ready like 10 minutes before i had to leave. so i got ready. then i realized, i can't even function, so i ended up not going after all. and i don't know why, but i felt so guilty. bc its my hardest class--if i was up, i should have went. meh.
so i was in like this terrible mood. so i went shopping. and bought lots of girly stuff. and then played with it. and i feel so much better! this day isn't even close to over but at least i smiled for a bit.

well i'm back at school.
it was an amazing break. without question, the best break yet. that could be due in part to the fact that i spent half of it at mari's house!!! love and miss you alreadyyy!!!
